Thanksgiving Day 2008. We headed to the Holiday Inn for the traditional luncheon with the Stouts. After a confrontational beginning (the banquet department lost our reservation), we said grace and the family was off to the races. It's funny watching adults run to the buffet line, as if they will get the last shrimp served all day. Trying to tell Grandpa and Grandma we are expecting a baby was like grabbing a magephone and announcing it to the town of Grantville. Grandpa's hearing is so poor, we had to shout the news at least 5 times. By the time he understood, the rest of the family was off to get dessert. I love older people! They always put a smile on my face! So, alas, it is evening and Brandon is going through his list of thanks. We are so so blessed. Just in the last couple weeks, we have received surprises from a plethora of friends and family, welcoming our new little baby into the world (even though he/she is the size of a kidney bean). The pictures above are a couple of the gifts. Happy Thanksgiving. We're thankful for you!

We are so excited to be on this new journey with you both. While parenting is the most fulfilling part of life as husband & wife, there is a special joy in grandparenting that is indescribable! We are glad to be part of the starting seed (x or y?)in the new life in you Samantha.
We picture the days ahead as being many "deja vu all over again" experiences. We will be pulling out the early days picture albums to recapture some of our special moments with Brandon. Victoria plans an assault on Borders while Stan gets his knee limbered up for bouncing the new one.
As God knits together this new life we rejoice in His special timing.
NH Grandparents!
