It's the newest development in the Stout Moist household. I never knew that a little grin could send butterflies to my belly and a warm feeling from head to toe. Eva has started showing this awesome gesture (and no, it's not gas) when she is looking at a book or staring into the face of a happy stranger. She is such a happy, gorgeous, peaceful, beautiful baby. Ok, you're right, I am a little biased, but putting that aside she is definitely the finest little girl we have ever raised or become mommy too.
Someone asked me last week to explain what I do all day. As if I must be bored our of my stinkin' mind. Ha! I've just started to be able to shower and cook dinner all in the same day! Our morning starts between 6 and 7. Eva likes a good breakfast before we go for a stroller ride or she watches me make coffee and eat a bite myself. What do you know, it's time for nap number 1. After a good hour nap, we repeat. Eva will chow down on some good wholesome breast milk and then I will possibly attempt to get a shower. Here's the visual: Eva in her chair in the bathroom, itsy-bitsy spider blaring in the background, and a mountain of dolls in front of her to stare at. During the shower I pray that she is content long enough for the conditioner to rinse out and both legs to get shaved (yes, I have had to jump out with only 1 shaved before). What do you know, mama is now ready and Eva is ready for her 2nd nap of the day. We repeat this little routine (also called the E.A.S.Y plan by the Baby Whisperer Solves All Your Problems).
It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. And, I would like to tell the world that I LOVE it. I love being a mama. I love snuggling with my babe. I love when daddy comes home and I can share all the fun things Eva did that day. Nothing compares to it, that's for sure.
Here are a couple photos from a photo shoot that I did Friday (a little boredom set in while we were waiting for Daddy to get home from work so we could go to Eva's first LD football game).
