Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

I can not, I repeat, can NOT express how excited and delighted I am with the holidays this year. Some people are saying, "It's because you have a baby," and I'm not sure if that is the reason or not, but I do know that I'm trying to take every day captive. Anyone who knows me can say with confidence that I do not like winter. I don't like cold weather. In fact, I don't like Pennsylvania because of the long months of dark, cold weather we have. But, for some reason (it must be the hand of God), I am enjoying the cold this year. Saturday was our first snow. Ahh, it was breathtaking. I just stood in front of the sliding glass door, over and over, telling Brandon how beautiful it was. Hot cocoa and a baby in my arms did help me enjoy it even more.

This blog isn't very "deep" and probably far from inspirational. Eva is upstairs sleeping (she's got a cold again) and I'm hiding out in the lower level with the dogs and a good book You Are Your Child's First Teacher. It's a blustery 30-some degrees outside today and I haven't found the motivation to get dressed yet. Last week was Thanksgiving, and I'm having a hard time believing that it's over already. Sheesh. Eva's first Thanksgiving... gone! Brandon and I started a tradition a few years ago, on Thanksgiving evening we decorate the house for Christmas. We also went out last weekend to get our Christmas tree. My in-laws were in town and helped to string the lights outside and cook a delicious turkey dinner so we would have leftovers (which we ate for the next 7 days straight)! Yum!

Enough jibber-jabbering. Back to my book and cozy, comfy clothes. I don't see this look changing anytime soon. Enjoy the video!
