I have a high chair sitting in my kitchen. Yes, I officially feel like a mother of a child. When Eva was an infant I would walk by the mirror in the bathroom and do a double-take, "This is my baby? Who put me in charge? I'm still a kid!" Well, it's settling in and I have to admit, I'm kind of liking it. ;)
Thanks to Mia and Pap (Brandon's grandparents), Eva has a new high chair. It has a pneumatic lift, like the chairs at a salon. Eva looks too cute sitting on her throne and playing with her toys. She stayed there for almost an hour the first time we put her in it! Another feat she's taken is tasting her first sips of organic rice cereal with breast milk. Honestly, it is the consistency of water, but it's a start. I'd say a dribble may have been swallowed. Brandon and I were amused at how difficult something we take for granted can be for a baby. She was more interested in trying to get the spoon to play with than any of this "eating" business.
Many more "firsts" to come. Looking forward to all that 2010 has to bring for us. Stay tuned!
Have a Lovely Weekend.

hahaha eva is funny and adorable.
you should feel like a bonafied mom now, your babe is 6 months old!
(almost, right?)
Eva is a quick learner. She knew very soon that something was on the spoon! Sam, you are a great mom teacher!
