O.F. (Organizational Friday)

You read it! Here I am again with my trendy tips and time-saving strategies.

Tip #1: Meal Planning. Tell me this is a tricky habit to get into and I will say, "I know". But get into it and thank me, that you will. Once a week, sit down with a notepad and your trusty MacBook. Make it the same day every week. Go through the fridge and cabinets with a quick twirl and write down whatever is missing, all the staples. THEN, directly on that notepad, write down the days of the week and pick out a meal for each. Choose it from Pinterest. Pick it from the internet. Click on that "Recipe" folder you've been adding to for years. Wherever you want to find your meals, FIND THEM, and then write 'em down under a day of the week. Simple. Now, add the ingredients to your grocery list that you don't already have in your cabinets, and P R E S T O! You have meals for a week and you only hit the grocery once!

Tip #2: Amazon. That's right. Good 'ol Amazon.com. How does Amazon help you to stay organized you may ask? Well, as someone who used to take (waytoomany) trips to Target a week, I can say that buying on Amazon with their free shipping causes me to buy less nicknacks and I have more time for fun things at home. No more mornings spent in Target. Evenings spent in Target. Done. Organize your day. Go to Amazon.com.

Tip #3: Categorize. Don't leave those birthday presents out on the counter for a month. Put it away! Categorize. Everything has a spot. A home. Take it off the counter. Clean it off the bookshelf. Rat it out of the junk drawer. Put it away. Categorize.

Meal planning has saved my life! Just one thing to add: I use an app called "Grocery Pal" on my phone. It lets you pull up all the sales in your area and view them by week. Just plug in where you shop and everything is in one spot. It also lets you make numerous lists. I have a list for every place I shop (I like to spread my groceries out among a few stores to get the best deal.) and it's all in one place!

Lia! Thanks for the tip! Saving cash with coupons and now this?! It couldn't get much easier. I will say, since I've had kiddos, it's not as easy to get to multiple stores, but this may just make it worth it. THANKS and Cheers! You're awesome!
