O.F. (Organizational Friday)

I'm gettin' vulnerable with my O.F. today. I'm gonna include a picture or two of my tips for the day.

Tip #1: Out of Sight Out of Mind. If you have kids or pets, sometimes just seeing their toys or nicknacks is too much. It may be sitting in the corner "neatly", but it still looks like clutter. Go to Target and buy a few bins to put it all out of sight. Our "play room" is the first room you walk into when you step in the front door. These bins and hiding spots allow it all to be hidden.
Just imagine the clutter if this wasn't behind closed doors!
Ikea or Costco. These organizers are legit.
Tip #2: Label It. Chances are if it's in the basement and it's not labeled, you have no idea what's in it. Chances are it is NOT organized. Take a Saturday with your other half and go through the collectables in your basement. AFTER you decide what to donate and what to keep, LABEL THE BOXES. Run out to Target (again, I know), and buy a few rubbermaid containers WITH LIDS and you will be pleasantly surprised with what your former junk pile now looks like.
What does your basement look like? Care to share?
Tip #3: Pin it. Not talking about Pinterest here, but a close 2nd. Bills, letters, thank-you cards. Random photos that you printed once-upon-a-time. Instead of laying them in a stack on a counter. Instead of filing them in a never-to-be-found-again drawer, pin them. Push pins can be cute and adorable these days. Use them to organize your paper stack and you'll never forget a payment or thank-you card again.

Cheers! You're awesome.
