I had to search through old posts to see if I wrote on this before, because I heard the phrase some time ago, like a year at least.
PEACE is a mindset.
And maybe I did write about it before, but really that doesn't matter. I need to hear things and write things more than once sometimes. Maybe you do too.
I was telling Grams last night, "I may not be able to help you with that, but if you say it's an emergency, then I'm your girl." Something changes when I know it's an emergency. I can pretty much do anything. No stress. My mind compartmentalizes all that should take place and I will be sure to get each step done. I am your girl.
That, that right there, is PEACE. Freedom from disturbance. Unwilling to let the heat of the situation rise above what needs to take place.
All this to say, PEACE means FREEDOM FROM DISTURBANCE. And if you're like me, as long as PEACE guides my steps, I know that I am walking in the right direction. And if you're like me, as long as PEACE guides my words, I know that I am talking what I'm supposed to say. Haha! PEACE!
In the middle of a crazy work day, hackers hacking and deadlines being pushed back, PEACE!
In the middle of discouragement, depression, feelings of worthlessness, PEACE!
In the middle of hope deferred, broken relationships, or unmet expectations, PEACE!
In the middle of cranky kids, sickness, husbands out of town, PEACE!
Your situation might still be an emergency. Your circumstances might still be hellish. But, PEACE is a mindset! No one, nothing, can take that from you. So grab it. Reach up. Lift those heavy arms and make the sacrifice. Peace! Peace! Peace!
