31 Thanks.

I'm relentlessly thankful for...

1. My grandma and grandpa stout and their positivity, love for people, and passion to know Jesus.

2. A mom and dad who chose peace over war.

3. A best friend who acted like a sister, told me like it is, and brought me along to a place where people were wild and in love with God.

4. An Extreme Retreat that changed my course, forever.

5. Piano lessons that enabled my heart and mouth to worship, all the time.

6. Open doors and opportunities to be used, at church and at college, by people who believed in me.

7. Stepping into marriage with Brandon as a young, naive girl and living out the past 8 years with no regrets.

8. Seeing my husband as my best friend. A revelation that never gets old.

9. Walking into a teaching position, weeks after graduation, in the midst of layoffs. Simply divine.

10. Eva, my firstborn, fulloflife, truth seeker, and friend. And all the ways I've been changed since her birth.

11. Aslan, my gentle son, lion of praise, and eyes that speak for generations.

12. Partying with family like I've never known before.

13. Embracing new friends and seeing the gold in all the potential.

14. A home, cars, and food that more than take care of our needs.

15. Furry dogs who keep me warm when Brandon is outta town.

16. A God who would use me despite my flaws, because He sees me as perfect and able.

17. Life Center, a building full of like-minded lovers whom I get to rub shoulders with and worship with every week.

18. Opportunities to write about what He shows me and watch it be used to speak to people's hearts?! I'm humbled.

19. A year of stepping out in the water, because I really will go wherever He is leading me.

20. The joy that comes with being vulnerable.

21. The smell of coffee from downstairs while I sit in bed and write these thanks.

22. The promise of a house and a yard. Psalm 16:5

23. Life-changing get togethers with gifted women who come, despite schedules and responsibilities, because they desire something more.

24. DB, an outlet where Brandon can be used and truly love what he's doing.

25. A season, and I hope it never stops, of seeing and hearing like never before.

26. The ocean and all it's beauty and peace. Knowing there is always a place I can go for vacation and it never, ever, gets old.

27. Mornings. The quiet and clarity within the early hours.

28. My parents and in-laws, loving our kids just as much as we do and pouring out their love on them.

29. The flowers that will start to bloom this month, the nature walks that will be started, and the outdoor hangouts that will conjure authentic conversations.

30. Marriage, and I may be repeating myself, but it can and does get better and better.

31. Goodness and mercy covering me, all the days of my life.
