Dear Ann Voskamp,
I'm holding onto your words these days, a life jacket to my bobbing body. To sum it up, I don't have a zillion children like you do, but I am engulfed in busy days, and I am looking, seeking for the thanks. I'm trying not to pray for life to slow, rather for me to find Him in this busy life. Thank you for your example of living life like a reflection.
Sincerely,
A packing-demoing-renovating-moving-motherof2-livingwithhermother-wifetorenaissancehusband fan.
Starting the week with thanks (so much better than my complaints):
-My husband, a man I trust more than ever in my life, building us a home and loving us all in the midst.
-Eva, my big 4 year old!
-Aslan, making us laugh, just when we thought this process was taking our humor.
-Voxes and texts and podcasts that continuously roll in, prayers and encouragement. They always come at just the right time. "Merely coincidence", Jason Upton would say.
-Friends and family that would lend a hand to help us move and stand shoulder to shoulder with us when we feel a little weary.
-My mom, letting us crash her house while the renovating continues!
My father-in-law's painting and peaceful presence in the house.
-A "new neighbor" who stopped by to give me her advice on outdoor spaces.
-Steph, a friend from high school, who has been reading this blog and emailed to offer her painting skills!
-Poison ivy is leaving by the vineful and the front entrance and walkway is taking shape!
-Brent, Jeremy, and Brandon, 3 amazingly skilled friends, who have helped give our place a makeover.
-Havaianas, my new work boot, err, sandal.
Welcome Back! How Are You?
