Watch out Ty Pennington

Extreme Home Makeover has come into our basement and taken over. We are finishing this space to make room for more friends, more babies, and more family. Stan, my father-in-law, helped Brandon get a jump start on the project 2 weekends ago. As you can see from the pics, they finished framing in only 3 days! It was a miracle. As long as the men had fuel (yes, lots of cooking took place during this weekend) they were ready to work around the clock. Brandon is busy working on the electrical phase now. Pray that he doesn't accidentally mix a black wire and a red wire or try to touch anything that is still hot! His goal is to have this space finished by our anniversary, May 20th. No pressure.

A baby is a really great motivator. Since we found out we were pregnant, we have begun a lot of necessary projects: working out, finishing the basement, selling cars, cutting down on unneeded bills, spending time reading together. Ok, I know what you're thinking, "Sam, those things are lame." But honestly, sometimes you just need a little kick to get you going, or in our case, a big kick! Thank you Eva!
