Last week we attended our first birthing class. It was 3 hours of good old fashioned baby-birthing fun. Our classes are based on the Bradley Method of giving birth. If animals can give birth while relaxed, why can't we? If animals can give birth painlessly, why can't we? I think the most painful part was having to sit on the floor for so long. Brandon isn't the most flexible man to be begin with, let alone putting him on a hard floor for a couple hours. The poor guy looked more uncomfortable than the 8 month pregnant lady in the corner.
Before we left, we got our homework assignment for this week and Brandon was given the title and role of, "Coach". Because birth is like an athletic event, you need to train for it, prepare for it, Dr. Bradley liked to refer to husbands as coaches. I like it too.
Eva is officially 29 weeks old. She is moving around like an Olympic athlete, giving her daddy a kick every now and then. She even has the hiccups! Did I mention that she usually sleeps until 7:30am? I am praying that this is a pattern she continues after she enters our world too. It's never too early to start, right?!
Brandon has been working steadily on the basement. The progress is amazing and should be finished up by early June. Next week he's embarking on drywall and I will attempt to keep the rest of the house clean, despite all the dust it creates. Hopefully you will get the chance to come over and check out his hand-man work and enjoy Eva's presence for a bit. She's almost here!

I would love to come see where you live, and admire the renovations. I have a deep appreciation for all the hard work that goes into home updates... :)
You're getting so close!
