Katie Horst, a friend of mine, gave me a note the day after we found out we were having a baby. The note had a quote on it which read, "To choose to be a parent is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." Wow! If that isn't the truth!
Today we celebrated Mother's Day with my mom and family. You could hear the sincerity in my mom's voice as she told each of us how thankful she is for us and what a joy it was to spend the day together. Is it just me, or is this day emotional?!?! Call it the pregnancy or just call it being a woman, but the tears have been flying all day!

After an afternoon nap (which at 30 weeks pregnant I am finding that I love to do), Brandon whipped out a card that he bought for me. I usually don't cry at sappy writing or those "Hallmark" punchlines, but this card was just for me. It was perfect and straight from the heart. Not only Brandon's heart, but Eva's too. What a day! And what better a way to end it all than to head out for some...icecream! Our birthing instructor would be proud. At least it has protein!
