Electrical work. Insulation. Duct work. HD cabels. Drywall. Oh right, this is supposed to be a blog about our baby. Well, once you get past all of the hours of labor, no pun intended, that Brandon has put into the basement, we both remember that we are in fact having a baby. Yikes! I keep telling him, "Just think, in a month you'll remind yourself that this was all worth it." That being said, our lives have been spent underground since Mother's Day. I am totally impressed with Brandon's handyman skills (who knew he was such a Renaissance Man?!) and business front. Don't let him tell you any different, I think he wishes he could be one of those experts at Home Depot. Lord knows we've been getting to know them all on a personal basis.
So enough about our busyness, and more about this baby girl. Eva has been moving around and hiccuping all the time. Fortunately I am the world's most sound sleeper, so she never keeps me up at night. We already have a great understanding about sleep. I was at the midwife on Friday and she said Eva's heartbeat and size are just fantastic. Brandon and I have started to talk about packing a bag for that, "just in case" early delivery. Our birthing classes have been a blast. We've talked about everything from nutrition to circumcision. Let me tell you, I could give you a couple of videos to watch on that subject and you would rethink your, "I did it because that's what everyone does," decision. Wow.
My mom was gracious enough to throw us a shower last week and we will be blessed tomorrow by Brandon's family (and my Dad who represent the Stouts). Our coed shower will be filled with food and baby talk. What else could a new mom and dad ask for?! Just in case you didn't get the invite in the mail, or will be attending a "friend" shower in a few weeks, I'd like to give you a couple questions to ponder from a game we've been playing. Enjoy!
1. Who was Eva's name derived from?
2. Where will Eva be born?
3. How many children would Brandon like?
4. How many children would Samantha like?
5. What kind of birthing classes are Sam and Brandon taking?
6. When is Eva's expected date of arrival?
7. What is Eva's middle name?
