Summertime Summertime Sum Sum Summertime

Yes, we're alive and well. I have excellent excuses for not blogging recently, but they won't change the fact that you've been staring at the same post for weeks on end. For this, I do apologize.

While devouring a cobb salad on this 105 degree day, I'll attempt to engage you in our summer happenings.

We celebrated Brandon's 2nd Father's Day by sending him golfing with a friend. Apparently, the Hershey Links is a pretty divine golf course, because he agreed that this type of celebration would be good to do every year. Day 2 of Father's Day entailed a BBQ and afternoon in the pool at my dad's house. Eva is in LOVE with the pool. She's a little fish and loves anyone who floats around with her in the water.
Tonya, one of my favorite girls, turned 27 this year on the 27th. Needless to say, we celebrated at Houlihans (where else would you go to have a birthday dinner) and these 2 besties, Simeon and Eva, were able to enjoy a yummy dinner...side by side. So cute! This, my friends, is a picture of HersheyPark Happy. Eva was completely in awe of the rides and people and games and lights. There was so much to look at and she really seemed to like every bit. She rode the train with Brandon, her first ride. Sigh. That picture will go in an album and she'll look back on it when she's a teenager. "Dad, look at what you're wearing!" I can hear it now.
Alas, I bring you the present. Our return from Charlotte, North Carolina was bittersweet. Veronica, another bestie of mine, moved to Charlotte a couple years ago to find herself a husband (actually she moved to start a new job). She and Matt hosted us over the fourth of July. I can't remember such a relaxing, soaking up the sun, laughing 'til you cry, memorable, trip in a few years. The days were set to a perfect tune. Eva and Solomon (Kelly's babe) had plenty of time to swim in V's pool and linger with there favorite peeps (us, of course). I captured these pics in the midst of belly laughs and snorts (from Johannah).

Happy Fourth of July! What's your favorite Freedom?
