Early in the morning on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone was moved away from the entrance. John 20:1
I love that He was still on her mind. Not that she could forget the horrific sight, the crucifixion she had seen before her very eyes. I'm sure her head was down, soaked with tears. But now, early in the morning, she came to the tomb. She came expecting to see. Expecting to see a closed tomb and reflect upon a dead savior. How many times I have expected to see the old when really, He's already doing a new thing.
Lubdub. Lubdub. If only we stay in synch with the heartbeat of heaven. Lubdub. Lubdub.
The next words of the next verse, "So she came running...". Ahh ha ha. Running! In long dress, head covered, thick fabrics, yet running to spread the news of her Jesus. Running! And at this time, she didn't even know or trust in the words that she had already heard. He hasn't been taken Mary, He's alive. He's alive.
He's alive. In me. And you. If you haven't heard Him lately or seen Him and His presence in your life recently, don't wait. Run. Run until you find Him because He's waiting and He's been waiting. He's had you on His mind since before time and He wants to show himself to you. Don't let anyone ever tell you different. You are loved.
Loved beyond the grave. Nothing could hold Him back from you. Nothing. Will ever. Hold Him back from you.
