Hurricane Sandy? Use your manners.

She has everyone talking, shopping, prepping. Sheesh, what a Diva! Clearly Sandy grew up around boys and wants a chance to strut her stuff.

It's been pretty calm here. I took a shower as if I'd never shower again. Been washing dishes like a Dawn commercial. Got the nails done, because why not?! They were open. And, yes, we have plenty of food, flashlights, and water.

I remember celebrating Solomon's 2nd birthday last year, during a surprise snow storm. Now, 1 year later, our little buddy turns 3, during a hurricane! I know this is a statement that makes me sound old, but we didn't have weather like this when I was growing up. There was 1 crazy snowstorm in '96.  Kelly and I literally shoveled our way across horse paddocks to see each other, but that was it. IT.

Is this the end of the world as we know it?

Jesus?

Time for tent making, movies, coloring books, and whipped cream. I mean why not? Every kid likes a big squirt right inside their mouth. It's as good as winning the lottery.

Be safe and head over here if you need to charge your computer or cell. We have chargers that will work through hurricanes and twisters.

Oh, and check this LIGHT out on Pinterest. You might need it.

See ya later Sandy...
