Mish Mash Update Shupdate

Holy Friday.

Not literally, like a holiday, but holy Friday it's been a long week.

Brandon left for Michigan this morning, just me and the kiddos to keep the jokes rollin' this weekend. We started the day with nakedness and a slip-n-slide, so that was a fun time. I took enough pictures to make you roll your eyes and never want to read my blog again, so I will refrain. This time.

We are still staring our phones down, W A I T I N G for a freaking contract for our house. I know, I shouldn't swear like that, but C O M E ON already! We have things to do. Like BIG things! Like, put in a new septic, and change slopes, fix drywall, kitchen remodels, and paint. Things like that!

I signed up for another race, so be stoked for that post. It's a 5k at the Hollywood Casino. No, I will not be running on the track with the horses, but I will be running in my favorite movie character costume. It's a "Movie Madness" themed race. Should keep things interesting. I was hoping to run as Catwoman, but then thought about black leather and Nike shoes. They would never match. I'll keep thinking.

Have you heard about the diesel truck that caught on fire? Or maybe I should ask you if you have been stuck in traffic for hours in the Harrisburg area. Goooooooodness!!! Thank God for lollipops and the old iPhone. It took me over an hour to get to my mom's house tonight (usually a measly 15 minutes). Not. Cool. Dude. Next time, take that turn a little bit slower and think about the THOUSANDS of people's lives that you are going to inconvenience. Sheesh!

I am realizing that this isn't an O. F. (Organizational Friday) post. In fact, I haven't been posting on a regular basis in the past weeks. I don't know what my deal is. All this waiting for the contract business makes me feel like my life is on hold. Again, not cool guys, not cool. If I had to think of something organizationally to leave you with, I would have to say this:

Make sure you always have tissues or napkins stocked up in your car's glove compartment. Not only will this help you with spills or snot, but when a HUGE, giant, hairy spider comes walking across the INSIDE of your windshield, you will have something to squish it with. Lesson learned, I did not have this organized and I lost the spider while trying to find a squishing device. I LOST IT!

Do you know how scary it is to keep driving when you know there is a HUGE, giant, hairy spider on the loose in your car?! It's down right terrifying!!!

Peace and cheers! I promise next time I'll be back to my chipper self...maybe.

Oh my goodness. :( Praying for peace for you! I totally get the traffic thing. It took me over half an hour to get Jof to school that morning; a trip that usually takes seven minutes. He was late, but he was there! Daya was late, too, but not AS late. Her bus comes early enough that they missed most of the traffic. ;) And the spider?!? Ugh. I get shivers just reading about it. Seriously, I would have jumped out the window and let it have the car. I. Don't. Do. Spiders. EVER. Praying your contract comes soon so you can get things done. (Congratulations, by the way!) It will all be here before you know it. Exciting! :D
