Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.
When I was a teenager I had a job working for the Hershey Lodge. I loathed it. The mere thought of going aroused butterflies in my belly. Until, that day. The day my boyfriend (now husband) called in for me and quit. I know, I know. It's not something I'm proud of, but at the time it was the weight of an entire world lifted off my shoulders. Thanks babe.
You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid: do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.
Eva pulls the pencil to carve capitals and lower cases. Though reading a book is beyond her mastery, she sits daily to crawl closer and reach the goal. She's not afraid. She takes position.
And what about life. We wake up in morning. Sun rises and moon sits. They never waiver and nor shall I. Holding swords with words like "blessed" and "loved" and "honored". We will fight through the day with ease and yolks light.
The battle is not yours, but God's.
However, you must take up your position.
Have you felt tension? Pressure? Stress? Are your eyes clenched shut at what you've been asked to do? Because even though you will not have to fight, you will stand firm.
So, stand firm.
In it all, do not be afraid or discouraged. After all, if He could see the joy set before Him, so can we.
Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.
With you.
With.
YOU.
