Cozy Up and Live Again

See what I mean? Those giggles were totally legit and not staged.
It was one of those weekends where everything felt right. The weather was perky. Kids were bubbly and creative. Brandon brought home doors and swept out the garage. Oh my, you know how good it makes a wife feel to leave a mess and come home to see her husband with a broom. Mmm hmm.

It's taken some time as my wisest friend always says. You gotta get back into a rhythm after Dad's been outta the house. Well, Dad's been outta the house completely renovating our dreams for 3 months, so this weekend we finally arrived at a new "normal".

Peace and joy.
My man does stuff...like fix my phone and computer.

Friday, this happened. Grams and Eva chased Aslan and I around the yard in a game of ball tag. That women never quits! She is the epitome of joy and strength. Loved seeing her face and chatting with Gramps in the den. Friday night, Jo and Dave held the annual Harvest Party and it was quite the par-tay. Pumpkin soup, drinks for miles, hotwing dip (who doesn't like that stuff), and a grand bonfire. Did I mention 3-legged races? That too.
The den of antiques...including Grams and Gramps.
Bonfirey

Saturday morning I jumped in the Honda for a garage sale. Isn't that such the central PA thing to do on a weekend morning?! I escaped with board games, Operation and Connect4, so you know that was a hit. The kids tinkered for an hour dropping those black and red circles. Cleaning and visiting a friend at the park, dinner out and an early bedtime. Sooo absolutely routine, but loving it all just the same.

Morning Shadow puppets. Eva made a Venus Flytrap (impressive, right?!).
Sunday was encouraging. Jim Goll spoke at church, preaching on open doors for the harvest and restarts and speech activated kingdoms. It was fresh for sure. We mozied around the playground with some of our favs, Josh and Tonya, and then made breakfast for lunch at home. Naps and then Costco pizza for the win.

Sowing project.
I know this is such a laundry list, but it was fresh and full and God was in the midst of it all. He always is.

Cheers to this week. Tomorrow ask Him to set your schedule. I dare ya. He set me up with a friend in cozy pants today! Ha! He knows me. :)
