The Carseat is my Nemesis

A sumo wrestler could not lift my baby bucket (also know as a car seat or carrier). Why? Because his belly would be too big to lift and then lower it into my car. A tiny person could not lift my baby bucket because it weighs as much as a small house. What were we thinking when we bought the latest, "holds up to 35 pounds!" carrier?!?! Brandon, in all sincerity, has trouble lifting it! And he's a strong man! Eva is weighing upwards of 16 pounds and is about to get carried from the car in our arms, rather than in the bucket. It's just too heavy! Oh, and while we are on the topic, I have dinged the side of the jeep numerous times trying to swing the carrier into the base. It's sad. A lovely black paint job on the jeep, only to be slashed by a baby bucket! Yikes!

In related news, the baby bucket is my nemesis for more reasons than one. Every time sweet Eva drifts off to sleep in it, even for a moment, she is adamant about staying awake when we get home. If she sleeps in that thing for 5 minutes, she will not fall asleep in her crib when we walk in the door! Ugh! This is a problem. Now, a sleepy baby who won't sleep. I think pulling my hairs out one by one would be less painful. Some of you critics might be thinking, "Just let her sleep in the carrier." But that's the other thing. Once the car turns off and we quietly, carefully, bring Eva inside...she's awake! She is not the baby who sleeps in the corner in her baby carrier. Huh uh. No way. This girl knows there is about to be action going on in the house and she wants to be a part of it!

Giggle, giggle. Smile. I love this girl. Eva Sephora. She's everything and way more than we could have ever imagined. She stretches me. Oh, does she stretch me. Ha!
