For the Man

It's been one of those days. It started with a 6am puke ALL over me, down my shirt and soaking my hair. The toddler woke up on the wrong side of the crib. Three timeouts by the time breakfast was ready. The washer is broken. We packed the car and drove downtown to a shanty appliance store (insert "What was I thinking?"). Nothing. Just junk. Back home, a sleeping baby in the car (for about 5 seconds) and a latte that is an hour past due.

Stop. I've gotta be thankful for something. The man. The dad of our house. He can tell when I'm stressed or just having a lousy day and he steps in to do the job with a smile. Before I could ask, he had said toddler in the car and the dogs put away. My bag was hanging on the banister, ready for me to grab and go. Ya know, it's the little things that show someone you care. Thinking of their needs before they get a chance to meet them on their own.

That being said, find a few things, maybe a lot of things, that you can be thankful for today. What has your hubs done for you that you may have let go unnoticed? I guarantee he will be more excited to jump in again if you give him a few props.

Cheers to the weekend!

'props'

I'm sure you gave him more than a few. ;)
