You're A Ship

I surely don't know much about plumbing and electrical work.

I have no expertise on how to open a pool.

I'm not an interior designer, although I've made a vast amount of decisions lately.

I should not be trusted with electric power tools, but someone gave me the opportunity anyway.

What I'm noticing, is that even when I'm not "qualified" by any standards, someone trusts me or says that I'm worth giving the opportunity to try.

Timing is everything. Ev-reeeeeeee-thing.

Have you declared yourself "unqualified". Have you put your head down as you passed them because you forgot that He told you to look up? Have you pulled yourself out of the game, before you stepped up and hit the home run? Because you will hit a home run if you look up.

In this mess of demo and this beauty of renovation, I see time before me and I see what is behind. All the questioning about why now, is put on display in the present peace.

It's because of the kids' ages.
It's because of maturity.
It's because of relationship.
It's because of grace.

Jim Goll described our lives once, as ships traveling the ocean. Each of us has a certain destination that we have opportunity to reach throughout a lifetime. Sometimes we choose a course that takes longer than the initial design. Sometimes we go in reverse and feel the war of the storms. Sometimes we follow the signs and arrive at each point as designed.

Timing is everything. Ev-reeeeeee-thing.

Take the wheel. You are qualified. YOU are qualified. More than you think you are, and I believe in you. There is nothing in your way, other than yourself. Look up. Seek His face. Rather than question the circumstances, thank Him for the promises that will never fail you.

You are loved.
You were ransomed.
You are qualified.

You are qualified.
